Day 1: Arrival in Rome

Welcome to Rome, the eternal city! Upon arrival, your tour guide will greet you, and you'll be transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a relaxed evening stroll through the historic center of Rome, taking in the vibrant atmosphere and iconic sights.

Day 2: Rome - Exploring Ancient Marvels

Embark on a full day exploring ancient Rome's wonders. Visit the awe-inspiring Colosseum, where gladiatorial contests once took place. Explore the Roman Forum, a hub of ancient political and social life. Ascend the Palatine Hill for panoramic views and delve into the history of Capitoline Hill.

Immerse yourself in the Capitoline Museums, housing an extensive collection of ancient Roman artifacts and art. Overnight at the hotel, have your dinner and retire for a comfortable nights sleep.

Day 3: Vatican City and Renaissance Rome

Journey to Vatican City, the smallest country in the world. Encircled by a 2-mile border with Italy, Vatican City is an independent city-state that covers just over 100 acres, making it one-eighth the size of New York's Central Park.

Explore St. Peter's Basilica, a masterpiece of Renaissance architecture. Visit the Vatican Museums, home to the renowned Sistine Chapel. In the afternoon, delve into Renaissance Rome, exploring architectural gems like the Pantheon and the lively Piazza Navona.

Post an enriching day of culture and history head to your hotel in the evening for dinner, overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Rome to Florence - Enchanting Siena

Depart for Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance. An 3 hour journey (approx. 162 miles) to the city often known as a major artistic, cultural, commercial, political, economic and financial center.

En-route, pause in the medieval charm of Siena, known for its historic city center and the Palio horse race, it's the medieval heart of Tuscany! It is romantic, walkable, and full of beautiful Medieval buildings to explore.

Arrive in Florence and embark on a guided walking tour, featuring the Florence Cathedral (Duomo), Baptistry, and Giotto's Bell Tower. Overnight at the hotel in Florence

Day 5: Florence - Artistic Treasures

Visit the Uffizi Gallery, home to masterpieces by Botticelli, Michelangelo, and Leonardo da Vinci. Explore the Academia Gallery to marvel at Michelangelo's iconic statue of David. Enjoy free time in the afternoon to wander the charming streets of Florence. Alternatively you can indulge in some culinary delights of the Chianti region.

The rest of the evening is free for you to explore the streets of Florence, indulge in some window shopping and tasting the various flavors of Gelato.

Day 6: Florence to Pisa to Lucca - Leaning Tower and Medieval Beauty

Today Morning after taking your Italian breakfast proceed to Pisa to witness the iconic Leaning Tower and the picturesque Piazza dei Miracoli.

Continue to Lucca, which is about a distance of 20 km and is a well-preserved medieval town surrounded by intact city walls. Explore Lucca's historic center, adorned with charming squares and medieval architecture. You will then proceed to your hotel for an early dinner, overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: Florence to Venice - Floating Marvel

Post having your breakfast of Cappuccino and donuts embark on your Travel to Venice, the distance between Florence and Venice is around 269 km which usually takes approximately 3 plus hours to cover. Venice is a unique city built on water and is known also as the “City of Canals, “The Floating City,” and “Serenissima,” is arguably one of Italy's most picturesque cities. With its winding canals, striking architecture, and beautiful bridges, it is a popular destination.

On arrival into Venice take a guided walking tour to discover St. Mark's Square, St. Mark's Basilica, and the Doge's Palace.

Day 8: Venice - Hidden Gems and Artisan Workshops

Today in the morning explore the lesser-known aspects of Venice, uncovering artisan workshops and hidden gems. Embark on a boat tour to the islands of Murano (famous for glassblowing) and Burano (renowned for lace).

Day 9: Venice to Verona to Milan - Romantic Verona and Fashionable Milan

Depart for Milan, stopping in Verona, the city of Romeo and Juliet.

Explore Verona's historic center, including Juliet's balcony.

Continue to Milan and visit the magnificent Milan Cathedral (Duomo) and the elegant Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.

Day 10: Milan to Cinque Terre - Coastal Beauty

Travel to the picturesque Cinque Terre on the Italian Riviera. Explore the five colorful fishing villages, either by hiking between them or taking a boat tour along the stunning coastline. We also have the option of further enriching your experience by taking the fishing boat excursion and tasting the catch.

Depart Cinque Terre for the enchanting Tuscan countryside. Visit a local winery for a delightful wine tasting experience, learning about Tuscan wine production.

Day 12: Tuscany to Rome - Orvieto's Charm

On the penultimate day of your Italian Heritage journey you return to Rome, with a stop in the historic town of Orvieto. Post having your breakfast, we head to Rome and enroute visiting the town of Orvieto which is at a distance of 170 kms and takes around  two plus hours drive. Orvieto is, at its heart, a medieval city, awash with a quintessentially Italian atmosphere – old, charming, and picturesque, with winding cobblestone streets, broad piazzas, and one of the most important Gothic cathedrals in Italy.

Visit the impressive Orvieto Cathedral and explore its intriguing underground caves. The city of Orvieto has long kept the secret of its labyrinth of caves and tunnels that lie beneath the surface. Dug deep into the tuff, a volcanic rock, you will explore these secret hidden tunnels through guided tour.

You will now head to Rome post your exhilarating tour of Orvieto, the distance to Rome is 139 kms and will be completed in approximately 2 hours.  Conclude your cultural journey with a farewell dinner in Rome. Overnight at Rome.
